The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) has released the list of 30 new Band A Feeders that will enjoy a minimum of 20 hours of electricity daily, while downgrading 28 other feeders to Band B, C, D, and E categories for specific areas in Oyo, Ogun, Kwara and Osun states, in alignment with the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC’s supplementary order to the MYTO 2024 for different customers service category.

 

According to a report by Advisors Reports released by IBEDC and confirmed by Mrs. Busolami Tunwase, the locations of the new Band A Feeders include:

 

  • Agba/Shoprite 11KV, Commercial 11KV feeder, Emir Palace 11KV Feeder, and General Hospital 11KV feeders under the Challenge Business hub.

 

  • Jebba Paper Mill 11KV feeder and Jebba Township 11KV feeder under the Jebba Business Unit.

 

  • Aerobrome 11KV Feeder, Top Success 11KV feeder, Housing Estate 11KV feeder, Evans/EFCO 11KV feeder, Iyaganku 11KV Feeder under Dugbe business.

 

  • Molete Business hub: Arammed 11KV Feeder, Lina oil 11KV Feeder, BAT/NEW AGE 11KV feeder, BLACK/HORSE 11KV, FRIGOGLASS 11KV, BEST OIL/ALTAK 11KV, STADIUM 11KV, 7UP 11KV, JOYCEB/BATCON 11KV.

 

  • Akanran Business hub: Eagle Flour 11KV Feeder.

 

  • Osogbo Business hub: Obelawo 11KV, PRIME 11KV, AKEJU 11KV FEEDER, WONDERFUL 11KV Feeder, and Osogbo GRA 11KV Feeder.

 

  • Ile-Ife Business hub: OAUTHC 11KV Feeder, Prime Ilesa road 11KV Feeder.

 

  • Ijebu-Ode Business Hub: Ijebu Industrial 11KV Feeder.

 

  • Olumo Business hub: Startime 11KV Feeder.

 

IBEDC has downgraded 28 feeders in Oyo, Ogun, Kwara, and Osun states, affecting various areas under the electricity distribution company’s jurisdiction. 

 

In Ogun state, the GTB 11kv Feeder, which previously supplied electricity to GTBank Training School, Oke Ilewo Abeokuta, has been downgraded to Band B with a 19-hour power supply.

 

The Farm Feeder, serving Obasanjo Farm, has been downgraded to Band E, and Homan 11kv Feeder, serving Daraju, Eagle Packages, and NYCIL, has been downgraded to Band C with a 14-hour power supply.

 

In Oyo state, the Ibadan Bank Road 11kv Feeder, which supplies electricity to Magazine Road, Oba Adebimpe Road, and Oke Bola, has been downgraded to Band B with a 16-hour power supply.

 

The Ami 11KV Feeder, serving Onireke, Jericho, and Railway Quarters, has been downgraded to Band C with a 12-hour power supply.

 

In Kwara state, the Seminary 11kv Feeder, which supplies electricity to High-school Area, Randa area, Olomi area, Bowen Area, Takie Junction, Apake area, Star-Light area, Sabo area, Orita Naira Junction, and Bode-Eniafe Street, has been downgraded to Band B with a 16-hour power supply.

 

The Asa 11KV Feeder, which supplies electricity to Asa Dam, Ilorin, has been downgraded to Band C with a 14-hour power supply.

 

In Osun state, the Gbongan Road 11kv Feeder, which supplies electricity to Gbongan-Ibadan Road, has been downgraded to Band E with a 0-hour power supply.

 

These downgrades will significantly impact the electricity supply to the affected areas, with some areas experiencing as little as 1 hour of power supply per day.
