Kaduna State and its environs may soon experience improved electricity supply as the Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company (KAEDCO) and the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) have agreed to strengthen collaboration aimed at enhancing generation capacity, distribution efficiency, and overall power sector performance.
This formed the major highlight of a courtesy visit by KAEDCO’s Chairman, Mr. Aminu Suleiman, alongside the Managing Director, Dr. Umar Abubakar Hashidu, to the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of NDPHC, Engr. Jennifer Adighije, and members of the Executive Management on Tuesday, February 3, at the company’s headquarters.
Reports gathered indicate that the meeting provided a strategic platform for high-level discussions on joint initiatives targeted at improving electricity access and service reliability across KAEDCO’s distribution network.
Deliberations during the engagement were described as robust and forward-looking, with emphasis on better alignment between power generation and distribution to address prevailing supply challenges within KAEDCO’s franchise area.
Both organisations expressed optimism that sustained cooperation would translate into tangible improvements in electricity delivery, operational efficiency, and overall power sector outcomes in the near term.
