The Ikeja Electric has announced the upgrade of 24 additional feeders to Band A category, increasing the total number of Band A feeders from 104 to 128.

 

The DisCo, made this known in a statement obtained by Advisors Reports on Monday.

 

According to the statement, the upgrade of these feeders to Band A was based on the company’s demonstrated ability to consistently provide a minimum of 20 hours of daily power availability during a performance evaluation period monitored by the Regulator.

 

The upgraded feeders include 21 at 33kV and three at 11kV.

 

Ikeja Electric expressed its pleasure in obtaining approval for this expansion, stating, “We are pleased to announce that we have obtained approval to add 24 additional Band A feeders to our network.”

 

The additional Band A feeders are:

Furthermore, the company emphasized its commitment to meeting the service delivery expectations of all its customers across various tariff bands.

 

Ikeja Electric also promised to continue enhancing network upgrades within its coverage areas to ensure improved power supply and service delivery.

 

This expansion of Band A feeders is part of Ikeja Electric’s ongoing efforts to enhance the daily power supply for its customers.

 

The upgrade is expected to provide a minimum of 20 hours of daily power supply to the affected areas.
