Aradel Holdings Plc has secured the ISO 45001:2018 certification for its Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) following a comprehensive independent audit of its health and safety processes to ensure alignment with global best practices, address identified gaps and strengthen employee wellbeing across its operations.
The certification, an internationally recognised standard for occupational health and safety management systems, underscores the company’s structured approach to identifying workplace hazards, managing risks, and improving overall health and safety performance.
Advisors Reports gathered that the ISO 45001:2018 certificate was officially presented to the company on February 19, 2026, at its head office in Lagos by CoreQuality CB Ltd.
According to Aradel Holdings Plc, the ISO 45001:2018 certification offers a structured framework for organizations to set policies, define objectives, implement safety measures, and conduct regular audits and management reviews, with core elements including leadership commitment, employee participation, hazard identification, risk assessment, regulatory compliance, emergency preparedness, incident investigation, and continuous improvement.
This achievement complements Aradel’s existing ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management and ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management certifications, collectively reinforcing the company’s integrated approach to sustainability, quality assurance, and occupational safety.

“Aradel is firmly committed to creating a workplace where safety is our top priority, because for us, the first measure of success is safety.
“Attaining the ISO 45001:2018 certification reflects our unwavering commitment to continuous improvement and adherence to international standards,” Falade said.
He added that health and safety considerations remain embedded in the company’s operations, describing the certification as a significant step in the company’s journey towards sustainable value creation and responsible energy development.
Industry observers noted that the certification positions Aradel among leading indigenous energy companies aligning with international health, safety, and environmental standards in Nigeria’s evolving energy sector.
