NLNG has been honoured with the Operational Excellence Award at the 2026 Energy Awards, held during the 25th anniversary edition of NOG Energy Week, reaffirming the company’s commitment to safe, reliable, and efficient operations that continue to set industry benchmarks across Nigeria’s energy sector.
Anne-Marie Palmer-Ikuku, Manager, Corporate Communications and Public Affairs at NLNG, disclosed this in a statement made available to Advisors Reports following the recognition bestowed on the company at the just concluded 2026 NOG Energy Week in Abuja.
According to her, the award recognises organisations that demonstrate outstanding operational performance through process optimisation, enhanced reliability, improved efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainable business practices.
Palmer-Ikuku further revealed that the recognition came at one of Africa’s premier energy gatherings, which brought together policymakers, regulators, industry leaders, investors, and technology providers to shape the future of Nigeria’s energy sector.
NLNG maintained a strong presence throughout the conference and exhibition, participating in strategic discussions and engaging stakeholders on key industry priorities, including gas development, operational excellence, sustainability, innovation, and Nigeria’s role in strengthening global energy security.
She stated that the company’s participation reflected its continued commitment to fostering collaboration and advancing solutions that support a resilient, competitive, and sustainable energy industry.
The NLNG spokesperson noted that the Energy Awards 2026 Operational Excellence Award underscores NLNG’s sustained focus on operational discipline, world-class asset management, and a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and value creation.
“It also recognises the dedication and professionalism of the company’s workforce, whose commitment to excellence has enabled NLNG to consistently deliver reliable LNG to global markets while supporting domestic gas utilisation and contributing significantly to Nigeria’s economic development through local content, revenue generation, and strategic investments.
“As NLNG advances its strategic growth initiatives, including the Train 7 Project, the recognition further reinforces the company’s resolve to remain a leading global LNG company helping to build a better Nigeria,” she said.
Palmer-Ikuku further explained that through operational excellence, innovation, and responsible business practices, NLNG continues to support Nigeria’s aspiration to harness its abundant natural gas resources for economic growth, industrialisation, and a sustainable energy future.
She therefore noted that the honour at the 2026 NOG Energy Week marks another significant milestone in NLNG’s journey of delivering lasting value to stakeholders and the broader energy industry.
